Antoine Clifford Watson was born on September 1, 1983, at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He accepted Christ at an early age; educated in the Orleans Public School System and was a resident of St. John The Baptist Parish. Over the years and under his father, Antoine Sr., loving guidance, Lil Antoine became a trained Culinary Chef. Throughout his career he was employed at many fine dining restaurants in and around New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Antoine passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 22, 2024. He was 40 years old. He was the Loving son of Antoine Clifford Ballansaw and the late Katherine Watson Ballansaw. Brother of Lorenzo Ballansaw; Michael (Arielle) Ballansaw and Nathalie B. (Jamal Sr.) Charles. Nephew of Charles Ballansaw Sr. (Jacqueline); Patrick Ballansaw; Reginald Watson; Rosalind Ballansaw Williams (Crayton Sr.); Marilyn Watson and the late Cordell Ballansaw Jr., Michael Ballansaw and Charles Watson, Jr. Uncle of Ra’Kylenn, Jamal Jr., Jace, Izaiah, Ransom, Ailynn, Iliyah, and Ryleigh. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Watson Ballansaw, uncles and his grandparents, Cordell Clifford Ballansaw, Sr., Charles Watson Sr. and Nellie Mae Watson. He leaves to cherish his memories: grandmother, Julia Stampley Ballansaw, father, brothers, sister, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends, also pastors, officers and members of St. James Methodist Church, Destiny Christian Center of LaPlace, employees of Hooter’s and Chick-fil-A of Metairie are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, July 26, 2024, at St. James Methodist Church, 1925 Ursulines Avenue beginning 10 am. Rev. Joseph Tilly, Pastor officiating. Church visitation 9 am until service time. Interment Providence Memorial Park.
