Artis Williams Atkins transcended this earthly plane on Saturday, March 30, 2024. She was born on January 7, 1947. She was 77 years old. As we look at the number of sevens in Artis’ birthday, we are reminded that after God had made everything and created man, on the seventh day, He rested. So it is with Artis, she is resting in the perfect peace in our Lord. She was is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Remus Atkins; parents, Clay Williams and Elizabeth Foster; bonus dad, Charles Foster Sr.; siblings Faith Tubman, Charles Foster Jr., Larry Foster and Etheridge Foster Jr.; she is survived by one daughter, Christine Mary Atkins; siblings Donna Foster, Zeno Foster and Melvin Foster, a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, April 13, 2024 beginning 1:00 p.m. at Gr. King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, 3321 Audubon Street, Rev.
