Dorothy Harvey

Dorothy “Marion” Bowser Harvey, age 80, of New Orleans, La. transitioned to life eternal on Thursday, November 9, 2023 in Baton Rouge, La. Dorothy was born on July 3, 1943 in New Orleans and raised by her grandmother, Delia Bowser in Lutcher, La. Later she moved to New Orleans to live with her mother, where she met and married the love of her life, Samuel Harvey Sr. She was preceded in death by her Grandmother; Mother, Ella Mae Bowser; Father, Haywood Batiste; Husband, Samuel Harvey Sr.; Son, Allen Harvey Sr.; Grandchildren, Angelique Harvey and Ryan Batiste; Brother, James Bowser; five Aunts and seven Uncles. She is survived by three children, Antoinette Batiste, Samuel Harvey Jr. and Kendra Harvey; six Grandchildren, Allen Harvey Jr., Eljin Harvey, Brad Batiste, Dekendrick Johnson, Kadrick Johnson; eight Great-Grandchildren; Brothers, Joseph Noel, Philman Batiste and Thadddeus Batiste; Sisters, N’Daria Batiste James and Jeanne Gardner Mims; four Sisters in law; two Brothers in law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 beginning 10:00 a.m. at First Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 2919 Sixth Street New Orleans, La., Rev. Uyless D. Landry III, pastor, officiating. Church visitation  from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Entombment Providence Memorial Park and Mausoleum. Rev. David M.
