Harold Skinner

Harold “Turk” Skinner passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the age of 64, surrounded by his loved ones. Harold affectionately known as “Turk” was born on March 4, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of the late Harry Skinner Jr. and Joan Marie Summers Skinner. Harold was the second eldest of eight children. A graduate of Alcee Fortier High School also attended Lafayette College on an Athletic Scholarship. Harold leaves to cherish his memories, a beloved son, Kyle Everett; one sister: Cecile Mckenzie; four brothers, Nelson Skinner, Baldwin Skinner, Peter Skinner, and Patrick Skinner; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law, a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry Jr. and Joan Skinner; brothers, Harry III, and Steve Skinner; nephew, Freeman Skinner. and grandparents. Relatives and friends of the family, also priests and parishioners of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 15, 2023, beginning 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 919 Cambronne Street.   Church visitation from 8:30 am until the hour of Mass. Interment Green Street Cemetery.
