Joan Marie Skinner

Joan Marie Skinner passed away peacefully in her sleep, after a battle with Dementia, on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the age of 82.  Beloved widow of Harry Skinner Jr. Daughter of the late Ernest Henry and Cecile Toney. Joan lived her life guided by her strong Catholic faith, and her undying love for her family.  Joan was a wonderful mother to eight children who she loved and cherished; Cecile Mckenzie, Nelson Skinner, Baldwin Skinner, Peter Skinner, and Patrick Skinner, the late Harry Skinner III, Steve Skinner, and Harold Skinner. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, three daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. And a devoted granddaughter, Drucilla Chambers. Relatives and friends of the family, also priests and parishioners of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 15, 2023 beginning 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 919 Cambronne Street.  Church visitation from 8:30 am until the hour of Mass. Interment Green Street Cemetery.
