Reginald Joseph Cummings entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born on November 29, 1953, to the union of Salvador Cummings and the late Rosemary Smith Douglas. Reginald was a native of New Orleans, La. He excelled in music and was a member of Andrew J. Bell School's mReginald Cuyarching band and attended George Washington High School, where many lifelong friendships were fostered. He was employed at Avondale Shipyard and Housing Authority of New Orleans. Reginald was baptized and was a member of St. John Institutional Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving, supportive sister, Avian Wilson (Victor); beloved brothers, Bernard Kendrick (Sylvia) and Derrek Kendrick (Cathy); his Father, Salvadore Cummings; aunts, Mildred Harris, Delores Hollingshed, Theola Hubband, and uncle, Robert Smith Jr. (Cora Bell); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Reginald was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mrs. Rosemary Smith Douglas; two brothers, Alloyd and Quinn Kendrick; sister, Patricia Cummings Owens; and aunt, Clara Stephens. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Homegoing Service on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Littlejohn Funeral Home, 2163 Aubry Street beginning 10:00 a.m.; Evangelist, Dr. Norma Chapman, officiating.
