Sarah Lastie entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Wife of the late Walter Lastie. Mother of Andrea Lastie of Lithonia, GA and Kim Lastie. Daughter of the late James Young Sr. and Louise Smith. Sister of the late Robert Young Sr. (Susan), James Young Jr. (Irma), George Young, Ruth Thomas (Edward), Mary Thomas (Alfred), Ann Young and Theresa Young. Grandmother of Andrew and Ayrielle Gordon and the late Christopher Smith. Great grandmother of Camille Morgan. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends, also priests and parishioners of St. David, St. Jude and St. Leo the Great Catholic Churches, members of Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary, The Lower Ninth Ward Senior Center, former employees of Bell South, employees of Ochsner, Walmart, Army Corps of Engineers and IRS are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 8, 2024, at St. David Catholic Church, 5617 St. Claude Avenue beginning 11 am.
